We are holding our Jesus Piero Trunk Show on Sat 13th and Sun 14th December 2014 here at The White Closet, by appointment only.
To celebrate this we have created this stunning selection of images to illustrate the clean lines, box pleats, full skirts and simply stunning fabrics that Jesus Piero uses in his dresses.
This fabulous shoot took place in the rolling hills of Cumbria at Lisa Aldersly‘s home where her and husband, Rob, are renovating the most fabulous barn with to-die-for views. Out stunning Jesus Piero dresses fit this setting beautifully.
Lisa is a very sought after wedding photographer who was a brilliant White Closet bride a couple of years ago when she and Rob married.
The Love Look.
We had a very particular style in mind for this shoot which differs hugely from our previous creative ventures. We are known for the boho, the vintage, the elegant, the relaxed and the alternative. But we wanted to go down a new route which explores power, humour and shock.
Pushing the boundaries of traditional bridal style is something that we have always done whether it be in our boutique design, dress designers, events or photo shoots however this was a new route and style for us.
Moses being a very good boy.
When we added the gloriously sculptural Jesus Piero dresses to our collection we couldn’t help but think of the 1950-60s black and white Vogue shoots that oozed theatrical overstated glamour such as Jean Patchett and Barbara Mullen styled by Dior, snapped by Irving Penn and loved by every house wife in the world!
“Christian Dior took this look to another level in 1954 by presenting Dovima in the most extravagant pose surrounded by chained elephants.
We love this bizarre and comedic way to present such a luxurious item and so we began thinking about this connection between the extreme elegance of the Jesus Piero dresses and the character provided by animals ( as you can see in Ted’s cheeky face below!)
Ted is a pro ( and a tart)
“Enter – Moses the Charismatic Great Dane, Ted, The Cheeky Terrier and Daphne the Doting Doberman puppy who accompanied Amy and Liv our stunning models. We wanted sharp edges, cheek bones, pouts, elbows, odd props, sinister glares and perfect poses from our furry friends. “The outcome was composed and snapped perfectly by our favourite photographer Lisa Aldersley who not only has a way with brides but animals, too, and can quickly capture the scene before mayhem decends and Daphne spots a bird to chase!
