Q1: Which store did you visit and purchase your dress from? (Please describe your experience in a few words).
I visited both stores and tried it on at both as well – in the end I bought it from Liverpool. I loved every single minute of it. Having the space to yourself makes the experience truly special. Lucy was AMAZING in helping me look at different options and couldn’t have been nicer throughout the whole experience. I bought the dress from Manchester and had my final fittings in Didsbury, I love both shops but I have to say the Liverpool store wins it for me. It’s an experience I will treasure forever and while some of my friends have found dress purchasing stressful, for me it was the best bit about the wedding run-up. I would do it again and again!
Q2: Which designer/style did you go for and what was the main reason for it being your winner?
Jesus Peiro – the dress I chose was the second dress I tried on and I knew straight away. To be honest, I’d know I wanted Jesus Peiro before I’d even visited the store. I loved the modern look and feel of the dress and the fact it wasn’t too girly. It was simple, elegant, vintage inspired yet modern – plus it had pockets!

Q3 : Did you have any accessories from us and how did you feel in your outfit on the big day?
My accessories were from Silver Sixpence in Her Shoe – but it was a bespoke veil and hair accessories. I also wore a contemporary bangle from Wolf and Moon. I felt AMAZING on the big day, I think it’s normal as a woman (unfortunately) to be overly self critical so I tend to pick up on the bits I don’t like when looking through the photos now it’s all over, but on the day I felt comfortable, confident and myself.
Q4 : Did you have bridesmaids? If so how many and what did they wear?
I had A LOT of bridesmaids – 6 adults, 2 teenagers and one flower girl. All the bridesmaids wore a vintage inspired 1950’s style floral dress in pinks and purples that I found online and my flower girl wore a pretty party dress from h&m.

Q5 : Did you visit many other bridal shops before ordering your dress with us ?
I visited 4 other shops I think, but this was more for the experience than anything as I knew pretty quickly Jesus Peiro was the dress for me.
Q6 : What three bits of advice would you give any prospective bride?
1. Don’t let other people’s opinions influence your own – it is your day, do it your way.
2. Choose a dress that makes you feel comfortable and confident – you might surprise yourself with the dress you choose, but go with it.
3. Be organised but enjoy every single minute and don’t get stressed out by the little things because on the day you really won’t care.

Q7 : Did everything go to plan on your big day? If so/not tell us how or why?
Yes everything went to plan – well the best man’s suite turned up the day before and was the wrong size, but it didn’t matter to us in the end as we had quite a relaxed approach to what the best man and ushers wore. Apart from that all of our guests seemed to have a good time, enjoyed the food, venue and music so we couldn’t ask for more really.
Q8 : Any other thoughts ?
